The Collection

My new Estratos collection (“Strata”) consists of three hand-knotted rugs made in Nepal using the Hand-Knotted technique and a new Hand tufted version, all of them on 100% wool from New Zealand.

In this series, which again arises as a consequence of my artistic work, I turn my dyed paper assemblages into rugs.

With a palette of 41 colours and a subtle play of organic shapes, the first of the carpets has its origin in my works “Books and topographies” by zooming in a fragment and reproducing each of their shapes and colours.

In the second design I opt for white as the only colour but incorporating a play of volumes by means of details such as the boucle or the combination of different pile heights.

The third rug repeats the structure of the previous one but this time in white, brown and black.
