Estratos

The Estratos (“Strata”) collection consists of five hand-knotted rugs made in Nepal using the Hand-Knotted technique with 100% wool from New Zealand.

This collection came about as a result of my work with collage, an assemblage of dyed papers that overlap and create beautiful fields of colour that transcend the domestic and bring us closer to the natural.

With a palette of 14 colours and a subtle play of organic shapes, these rugs blur the boundaries between the functional and the artistic object.
